"Care at its Best!"

Performance offers aquatic physical therapy as a fun and
useful alternative to land-based therapy.

The Benefits of the Water
The water provides a natural traction force that distracts joints (allowing more joint space), making movement easier. Body weight is reduced by 90% in the water, making in an optimal environment to exercise joints and muscles without the compression caused by our body weight. The therapeutic benefits of water include pain relief and assiting with return to prior level of function.

Who Can Benefit?
Diagnoses that may benefit from aquatic physical therapy vary considerably although many patients have conditions such as arthritis, neck and back pain, nerve root compression and fibromyalgia, and those unable to tolerate land based exercise. Post surgical patients often find the water an excellent, gentle way to progressively build range of motion and strength again.

Our Physical Therapists will customize a specific program to restore joint and muscle function. Improve your quality of life by giving aquatic therapy a try!
