A comprehensive evaluation will ensure the most effective treatments are provided to our patients. Treatment may include:
 | | Therapeutic Exercise: Strengthening, flexibility, cardiovascular, balance and postural exercises are utilized to restore and maximize mobility, strength, endurance, balance and posture. Traditional exercise with the use of weights, machines and bands are incorporated with more recent advances such as pilates and yoga, often utilizing balls, foam rollers, biodex balance system or the reformer. |  | | Manual Therapy Techniques: A hands on treatment approach to decrease pain, muscle spasm, inflammation and soft tissue restrictions and to restore flexibility and mobility of the joints. Post graduate manual therapy training is completed by all physical therapists providing; therapeutic massage, soft tissue mobilization, joint mobilization and manipulation, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, muscle energy techniques and strain/counterstrain.

| |  | | Modalities: Utilized to decrease pain, inflammation and muscle spasm, to promote the therapeutic benefits of the more active treatments. Heat, ice, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, TENS and iontophoresis are available. In addition we offer cold laser, a state of the art modality recently approved by the FDA. For more information on laser please click here. EPTS Neuro-Mechanical Acupuncture, is the newest therapy being used to combat chronic and acute pain. Stimulation to acupuncture points, trigger points and contracted motor bands provides immediate pain relief, decreases muscle tome and accelerates tissue repair. |  | | Education: An integral component of all treatment plans. Patients are provided with a home exercise program and education maybe included on pain management, posture, ergonomics, prevention and body mechanics. Functional Re-education: A primary goal is to restore and maximize the function of our patients, whether this be for sport, work or the general activities of daily living, such as walking and household activities. Specific exercises with education are incorporated with the treatment plan to ensure restoration of maximal function. |  | | Equipment, Orthotics and Bracing: Canes, various pillows and supports, prefabricated and customized orthotics, bracing and splints, and exercise equipment such as balls, theraband, weights, are available to assist in maximizing your recovery.
Aquatic Therapy: Exercise and manual therapy in the water are especially beneficial for patients with osteoarthritis, post surgical conditions and those unable to tolerate land based exercise programs.
