Dr. Alison O'Brien PT, DPT
Dr. Alison O’Brien has worked with Performance Physical Therapy’s Richmond location since 2018. Dr. O’Brien joined PPT after receiving a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Keene State College in 2015, and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Rhode Island in 2018. She is currently going through EIM's Therapeutic Pain Specialist Certification to become specialized in treating patients with chronic pain.
During her time at URI, she traveled to Tampa, Florida for a sports medicine trip and volunteered on the medical team at the Disney Marathon. Dr. O’Brien also had the opportunity to travel to Guatemala to volunteer and learn about physical therapy and their overall healthcare system.
Dr. O'Brien is excited to bring her clinical expertise in general orthopedics, geriatrics, and balance training to Performance, and looks forward to helping patients on their road to recovery.
In her free time, you can catch Dr. O’Brien hiking, playing tennis, cooking or baking, and spending time with her family, friends, and two dogs. She recommends that patients Exercise regularly, live a healthy lifestyle, and visit your healthcare providers regularly, “You only have one body, so take care of it!”
