Dr. Andrew Horton DPT, OCS, CSCS
Dr. Andrew Horton, DPT, OCS, CSCS, has worked with Performance Physical Therapy since 2010 and is now the clinic director and physical therapist at the East Greenwich location.
Dr. Horton has an undergraduate degree in exercise physiology from UMass Lowell and a doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Rhode Island.Dr. Horton went on to become a board-certified orthopedic clinical specialist, certified strength and conditioning specialist, and earn a certification in functional dry needling and functional movement screening.
Dr. Horton brings a wealth of experience to Performance Physical Therapy, including clinical expertise in orthopedics, spine rehabilitation, sports injuries, dry needling, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, fitness, wellness, and injury prevention. He’s also a member of the APTA.
An avid traveler outside of work, Dr. Horton has been to Thailand, Croatia, Greece, Italy, and France, as well as Guatemala, where he traveled twice to volunteer as a physical therapist for children with disabilities. Dr. Horton and his wife, son, and dog live in North Kingstown, where he enjoys playing soccer, going to the gym, brewing coffee, biking, spike ball and attending sporting events -- especially ones played by his favorite teams, the Boston Celtics, Boston Red Sox, and New England Revolution.
