Bob Doherty PTA
Bob Doherty, BS, PTA, LATC is a physical therapist assistant and athletic trainer from Abington, MA. Doherty has worked with Performance Physical Therapy since 1999. He earned his BS in athletic training from Plymouth State University, then completed the Physical Therapy Assistant program at Newbury College. He has completed extensive continuing education courses in Dialogues in Contemporary Rehabilitation and has also served as a volunteer with the Lafayette Leopards baseball team in Indiana.
Beyond his expertise treating athletes and sports injuries, Bob also has experience treating injuries of the spine, the SI joint, and TMJ dysfunction.
When he’s not in the clinic or covering a team, he likes to do physical work, or watch the Boston Bruins. His advice to patients is to get good quality sleep and exercise and eat regularly. "Eat multiple meals with small portions to maintain an elevated metabolism."
