Dr. Brendan Boyle DPT
Dr. Brendan Boyle, DPT, has worked with Performance Physical Therapy since 2016 as a physical therapist at the Attleboro location. He received an undergraduate degree in Biology from Brown University and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Rhode Island. While at URI, he received the Physical Therapy Department's Academic Excellence Award and presented on his research at the 10th Annual URI Graduate Student Conference. He has volunteer physical therapy experience at Isokinetic in Italy and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association's Orthopedic Section.
Dr. Boyle has completed an Orthopedic Residency from Evidence in motion as well as became certified in trigger point dry needling. He specializes in post-surgical orthopedics and sports injuries and is a Performance sports specific specialist with runners. Dr. Boyle has extensive experience working with long-distance and track and field runners, endurance athletes, and is on the Clinical Standards Committee at Performance Physical Therapy.
When not working, Dr. Boyle spends his time running (often in road races), fishing, playing guitar and the bass, and binge-watching shows on Netflix or watching his favorite sports teams – the Patriots, Celtics or Red Sox – play.
Dr. Boyle stresses taking care of your body to avoid injury and to eat nutritious meals, no matter how active you are. He adds that when you're working out take your time and stay focused on yourself, "Don't compare your performance to anyone else. Trying to lift or run as fast as someone else can lead to injury."
