Emma Carpenter joined Performance as an exercise specialist at the East Providence clinic in 2019. Emma joined the East Providence team after earning her Bachelors Degree in Health Science from Johnson and Wales university.
Emma became and exercise specialist because she hopes to peruse a degree in Athletic Training in the next few years. When she learned about the position of exercise specialist, she knew it would be the perfect way for her to get hands on experience with the world of physical therapy and introduce her to new techniques that will prepare her for grad school. “ I am a firm believer in PT and know that if we take care of our bodies, they will take care of us. Exercising and stretching is a huge part of that so I'm excited to help people take care of their bodies.”
Before coming to Performance, Emma was the Aquatics Coordinator of a local YMCA where she took care of all things Aquatics. Although she loved the job, Emma was ready to move on to a different kind of challenge.
Now, Emma continues following her love of aquatics by swimming in free time. She also coaches a few different swim teams. When she’s not in the pool, Emma loves to spend her afternoons outdoors. Growing up in California surrounded by the beaches and trails started off her love for the outdoors and she brought that love to Rhode Island where she continues to follow her passion for hiking, biking, camping, and anything else that gets her outside. When she’s not staying active, Emma also loves to sing!
