Jennifer Gallant MA, ATC, LAT
Jennifer Gallant, MS, ATC, LAT began working at Performance in 2009 and now sits as a Partner and Director of Athletic Training at Performance Physical Therapy. Gallant works out of the East Providence clinic, but also as a Certified Athletic Trainer at the Lincoln School in Providence, RI.
After earning her bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training in 2007, Gallant went on to earn her Master of Science in Applied Kinesiology from Bridgewater State in 2009. Gallant went on to become a board-certified and licensed Athletic Trainer in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Now, she sits on the board of the Rhode Island Athletic Training Association (RIATA) as the Secondary School Committee Chair from 2018- Present.
Professionally, Gallant focuses on developing athletic training programs to improve performance, promote health, and prevent injury. She has expertise in treating athletes from high school to college and specializes in treating female athletes. “As a high school student-athlete, I was impressed with how much the local athletic trainer and physical therapists helped people get back to 100%. It always amazed me how much of an impact they had, and I knew I wanted to help people in the same way.” Gallant Smiled.
The athletic training program at Lincoln School, which Gallant heads, was one of the first programs in Rhode Island to receive the 1st Team Safe School Sport award 2015-2018 and now 2018- 2021. Her ongoing work at Lincoln includes the development of exercise programs to help improve performance, education for injury prevention, the development of a sound Emergency Action Plan, and overall promotion of health for female athletes.
Since 2017, she has volunteered to help organize a Performance team for the Rhode Island Walk Like MADD in honor of friend and colleague Ellynn Koelsch.
When she’s not in the clinic or on the sidelines, Gallant enjoys being in the kitchen trying new recipes. She also loves to spend quality family time with her husband, Jeff, their son Jackson, and cat, Kirk.
