Dr. Joe Russolello DPT, OCS
Joe Russolello PT, DPT, OCS is a Physical Therapist, Partner and Operations Officer at Performance Physical Therapy. In addition, he is the Vice President of the Rhode Island Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association and serves as an adjunct faculty member for the Boston University Physical Therapy Program. Joe completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Boston University, he is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist having completed a residency program through Evidence in Motion and will also conclude a Masters of Business Administration program through University of Massachusetts in December of 2019.
Dr. Russolello has clinical interests and expertise in general and post-surgical orthopedic rehabilitation, manual therapy, function dry needling, and sports fitness and injury prevention with an emphasis on golf. He has a passion for redefining the health care experience and believes physical therapists are in the ideal position to do so. Joe believes physical therapists should serve as a partner to patients in their health care journey. “A quality health care experience doesn’t start when a patient enters the clinic or end when s/he exits, the accessibility of your provider and the care you receive outside of the clinic walls truly defines an exceptional experience” he says.
Joe was born on Long Island in New York and made his way to Rhode Island after attending PT school in Boston. In his free time, you may catch Joe at a beach or local vineyard with his wife Danielle or enjoying his time with close family and friends. Despite residing in New England, Joe remains an avid New York sports fan, particularly the Yankees and Giants and is an avid golfer as the Northeast weather allows. Joe and Danielle are excited to welcome their first child this December!
