Dr. Melissa Robidoux DPT
Dr. Melissa Robidoux, DPT, has worked with Performance Physical Therapy since 2013, and she now serves as a physical therapist at our Smithfield location. She has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Providence College and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Rhode Island. While in school, Dr. Robidoux took the opportunity to spend time studying in New Zealand and upon graduating from URI, she was given the "Academic Excellence Award."
Dr. Robidoux specializes in orthopedics, neurological and post-surgical rehabilitation, functional dry needling, balance and vestibular rehabilitation. She’s a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Dr. Robidoux believes patient education is a key component to the recovery process and enjoys teaching/mentoring students. She is also a a certified clinical instructor and certified in treating concussions.
Dr. Robidoux likes to spend her time away from the clinic with family and friends, or outdoors hiking and camping. She is also an avid fan of all New England sports, so you’re likely to find her watching a game.
Dr. Robidoux reminds patients to stay hydrated, get a good night’s sleep and see your doctor yearly for an annual checkup.
