Dr. Mikaela Caracciolo DPT
Dr. Mikaela Caracciolo, DPT, joined the Performance team in 2018. Dr. Caracciolo works as a physical therapist at the Pawtucket location after earning a Bachelor of Science in 2016 and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2018, both from Simmons University.
While in school, Dr. Caracciolo earned her certification in Rocktaping and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization. She also continues to serve as the assistant coach for Rock Steady Boxing, a boxing class for those with Parkinson's Disease and volunteers in the medical tent at the MS challenge walk in Cape Cod each year.
Dr. Caracciolo became a physical therapist because of her passion for motivating patients. She loves to watch patients get back to things they love and motivating them along the way to achieve all the things they didn’t believe were possible. She has gained expertise in Neurological and balance disorders, specifically Parkinson's Disease and MS, Orthopedic and Post-surgical conditions, and adolescent sport injuries.
In her free time, Dr. Caracciolo loves to practice her photography skills, watch the Patriots or RedSox, go skiing, practice her boxing skills, and play softball. After playing softball for 4 years in college she fell in love and hopes to one day become a softball coach.
