Olivia Ruthven joined the Pawtucket clinic in 2019 as an exercise specialist. Olivia joined the Division street team after earning her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science with a minor in Zoology from the University of Maine in 2019.
After graduating school, Olivia worked for the Hope Alzheimer's Center and volunteered at Manfredo Boxing Gym during classes for people with Parkinson's Disease. At her time there, she became very comfortable working with the elderly, especially those with balance issues. She also participated in CrossFit for several years and has learned many modifications for exercises which can be very helpful for teaching patients.
Olivia became an exercise specialist because she loves teaching in a setting where people can truly benefit from understanding the exercise she explains. She loves working with people of all ages, especially the elder population. Being able to share her knowledge to help people feel the best they can is so rewarding, and Olivia is so pleased to have the platform here to do so.
Olivia hopes to continue her education in graduate school where she can become a physician assistant.
When she’s not hard at work, Olivia loves taking her dog to the park as well as napping with him. She like reading books especially about history and learning about how to be more environmentally friendly. During football season she also enjoys getting together with friends every game day to cheer on the Patriots!
