Salvatore Palermo MS, LAT, ATC is an Athletic Trainer at Performance Physical Therapy who works with Ponaganset High School and our Woonsocket clinic. His passion for helping athletes recover from the conditions or injuries that are holding them back comes from his experience spraining his ankle in high school. After he recovered, he wanted to learn how to treat these types of injuries and has since gained clinical expertise in Emergency care, orthopedic injuries, rehabilitation, therapeutic modalities, soft tissue techniques, and instrument-assisted soft tissue techniques. He was also a recipient of the NATA Safe Sport School Award for Ponaganset High School 2019-2022 and the Rhode Island AThletic Trainers' Association Athletic Trainer of the Year in 2022.
