Since moving home, Shawn has become involved with the Rhode Island Athletic Trainers' Association (RIATA) as their Governmental Affairs Chair where he is able to exercise his passion to advocate and improve the profession at the state level.
Shawn’s love for sports, and caring for others, including athletes and the physically active population, really inspired him to join the field of athletic training. He truly enjoys the excitement, environment, and the wide variety of settings that an athletic trainer can work in. He also likes having the ability to work at all different levels of sports and with athletes of varying degrees of athleticism.
In his free time, you can catch Shawn exercising, snowboarding, traveling, and spending time with his wife Keri-lyn and cat Kole.
