Dr. Steven Alden DPT
Dr. Steven W. Alden, PT, DPT, has worked with Performance Physical Therapy since 2015 as a physical therapist at our East Greenwich location.
Dr. Alden received his Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Rhode Island. During his time at URI, Dr. Alden spent two weeks in Guatemala volunteering at a clinic. Since graduation, he has earned a certification in trigger point dry needling. Dr. Alden uses his knowledge and experience to benefit his community by volunteering to teach balance and posture classes at the East Greenwich senior center and teaching diabetes and exercise education classes. He has also volunteered with Special Olympics.
Dr. Alden specializes in orthopedics, manual therapy, sports injuries, balance training, and spinal rehabilitation.
When he’s not in the clinic, you might see Dr. Alden at a country concert, or visiting a brewery. He likes to spend time outside fishing or walking his dog and when he can’t be outside, he likes to watch the Patriots, Red Sox, or Bruins play, and read John Grisham novels.
Dr. Alden reminds his patients to stretch, have good posture, and, of course, to exercise daily. He adds, “A little bit goes a long way.”
