Leadership Development

Leadership development is integral for clinical and administrative team members. We offer our own Lead the Way Program, an in-depth, year-long course focusing on communication, time management, strategic planning, personal growth, mentoring, and more to help you gain leadership experience and excel in any role. In addition, we have partnered with industry leaders to provide personalized leadership resources and workshops for our team.

Orthopedic Residency

Orthopedic Residency
Performance Physical Therapy is the only practice in Rhode Island offering an Orthopedic Residency Program and the only practice in New England that allows you to complete your residency while earning a full salary. We offer our residency because we believe that growth and development is essential for our clinicians as we lead the way and revolutionize our industry. Performance Physical Therapy boasts the highest number of Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialists in New England.

Continuing Education

We believe that empowering our clinicians with continuing education opportunities ultimately leads to better outcomes for our patients. That's why we offer a wide range of clinical educational opportunities including CORE-4 – our weekend intensive courses, level 1 and 2 dry needling certification, monthly clinical skills meetings, our orthopedic residency and specialty certifications in running, pelvic health, pediatrics, vestibular, sports and soon to be launched, manual therapy certification. An internal library of resources means the opportunity to learn is always available.

Student Loan Assistance

We’ve Got Your Student Loans Covered!
Physical Therapists receive $20,000 - $44,000 in student loan repayment! Student loans are a big challenge to many physical therapists and we certainly do not want financial concerns to create stress for our team of health care providers. All physical therapists have access to this benefit immediately upon hire. Start paying down your principal today and save more in the long term.

Mentoring

Performance offers a one-on-one, curriculum based mentorship program for all new physical therapists and assistants. You are matched with a member of our faculty for individualized mentoring over the course of three months. Our goal is to ensure you have the confidence and competence to be the best clinician possible while fully immersing you in the professional development opportunities that await you in your next steps.

Supporting Our Community

Many organizations in our community share our mission in supporting the health, wellness, and movement of people in our community. Whether it’s dressing down to support our months Care to Wear beneficiary, hosting a golf tournament, providing a warmup before a local walk or providing injury screens, the Performance team is engaged in supporting their local communities. Some of our partnerships include Full Swing Golf RI, Girls on the Run Rhode Island, Reach Out & Read RI, the Ronald McDonald House, Crossroads, Go Red, and many more! Employees can volunteer in the community and earn additional paid time off.

Caring for Athletes

Through our relationships with schools and teams in our communities we are able to provide athletes care both on the field and in the clinic. In combination with our athletic training program our trainers can provide immediate injury assessment and work in collaboration with our physical therapists throughout the rehab and return to sport process. Ultimately, we reduce the risk of injuries, address them when they do occur and maximize our athlete’s performance.

Empowering Patients

Our patients get #BetterFaster. With our customized app, texting platform, blog, patient newsletter, #BetterFaster podcast, and utilization of FOTO outcomes, we empower our patients with the tools they need to feel better, move freely, and live fully.

Specialty Programs

Specialty Programs
Do you want to specialize in pediatrics or pelvic health? Vestibular care or aquatics? Performance offers clinical tracks to specialty areas and the opportunity to build a caseload of the kinds of patients you want to care for. If you are passionate about helping runners, athletes, or patients with hand problems, we will support you in developing your expertise and patient following.
FEEL BETTER • MOVE FREELY • LIVE FULLY
We are growing and hiring for both clinical and administrative positions. Come join our amazing team!
Every person is an integral team member and we strive to hire candidates that align with our values. We have built and continue to strengthen a culture that supports learning and growth, responsibility and respect, integrity, teamwork, and communication because we care deeply about our profession and the impact we can have on the communities we serve. We all work together toward one common goal: empowering people to feel better, move fully, and live freely.
I love congratulating a physical therapist who has completed their residency, achieved board certification, or reached a personal milestone and celebrating whenever a patient testimonial or success story is shared. There is truly nothing like witnessing the laughter and comradery of our team when they challenge each other during fitness or Halloween costume competitions, or when they engage to discuss treatment options for their patients.
I am grateful that I can go to work every day, knowing that our team is changing lives and creating a better future for more people. If you are ready to be a part of a team that is leading the way, then we invite you to apply today!
Best,
Michelle
