Performance Opens New Clinic In Seekonk, MA

On Friday, June 7, 2019 Performance Physical Therapy’s Seekonk Clinic will be celebrating their grand opening at Won Sports, a state-of-the-art fitness facility located at 1314 Fall River Ave, Seekonk, MA. Performance will be partnering with Won Sports to create a unique physical therapy and fitness experience for all ages and activity levels.

Along with Performance Physical Therapy, this 60,000 sq. ft facility will also include East Bay Sports Performance, turf fields, batting cages, and even a place to eat at Pub at the Won .  Performance is proud to move into a 1,300 sq. ft space looking directly over a large turf field and is excited about the opportunities to use this field with patients interested in high endurance training.

This new facility will give Performance space and resources needed to help the community get and stay active as well as the opportunity to partner with other businesses who share the same goals.  “We really want to make a collaborative effort to utilize the whole complex” shares Regional Director Dr. Brian Hay PT, DPT, MS, OCS.

“We recognize people have busy schedules and this facility provides opportunities for families to maximize their time.  If kids are playing a sport on the fields, parents can schedule their PT and still be able to watch their kids play. After finishing PT, they can even grab food upstairs rather than rushing home to get dinner prepped” Dr. Hay expressed.  This facility is ideal for working all phases of health and wellness into any family's busy lifestyle.

“We’re all really excited to make this space our own” shares Clinic Director Dr. Kayla Barrett, PT, DPT, "and we can’t wait to offer new opportunities to the community, continue working with patients from our old location, and expand our clientele to more sports specific injuries, all in a fun, safe, and family friendly environment” she added.

Performance Physical Therapy will be open Monday through Saturday to continue treating patients with care. With their new clinic, Performance will now have a larger treating area with the addition of custom hand therapy and splinting, and a large turf field to provide more access to care for the more athletically motivated population. The Seekonk clinic will treat patients of all injuries and ailments using manual therapy, joint manipulations, dry needling, and more
