What Does a Telehealth Appointment Look Like?

With Performance taking every step we can to ensure the safety of both our patients and staff, we have implemented new options to help "flatten the curve" and stop the spread of coronavirus. One of those options is telehealth. Telehealth gives physical therapists the ability to have a 'virtual visit' with their patients in the comfort of their own homes through telecommunication devices (smartphones, tablets, computers, etc.). On a telehealth visit, your therapist can evaluate the progress you are making with their home exercise programs and to determine if changes need to be made to it. Patients also have the chance to voice any concerns they may have to their therapist and get advice to help them continue their journey back to moving to the best of their ability and with less pain.

What does a physical therapy telehealth appointment look like?

We have been getting this question from our patients quite frequently, so we decided to create a video to help show what a telehealth appointment could look like.

Please note: Insurance companies are not reimbursing for physical therapy Telehealth. Despite this, we will not be passing the Telehealth charge onto our patients. (These visits will be complimentary!)

We ARE STILL accepting new patients!

Our care team is remaining diligent to keep our patients safe, calm and continuing to provide the best possible care, to our community
