To Help the Fight Against COVID-19

All proceeds will benefit the RI COVID-19 Response Fund and The Rhode Island Foundation

While we all practice social distancing and look to support our neighbors, Performance PT continues its mission to empower our communities to live healthy, fulfilling, and happy lives.  To us, that means staying active and helping to give back.  And that is why Performance Physical Therapy will be hosting a Virtual 19Km (11.8 miles) this Memorial Day Weekend (5/23-5/25).  The rules are simple…

Run, walk, jog 19 Kilometers between May 23rd at 7:00 a.m. and May 25th at 7:00 p.m.  You can do it by yourself, you can do it as a team, you can do it all at once, you could do it over the course of the 3 days, you can do it on a road, you can do it on a trail, you can do it on a treadmill, you can do it however you want.  Just register and show proof it happened.

Proof can come in many forms, it can be a picture of 19Km on your phone, a picture of your treadmill screen, a picture of your watch, a written log, whatever works for you.  The proof just needs to include the total distance and the time it took to get there (whatever “there” is).  Then post that picture on Facebook and be sure to mention (or tag) Performance Physical Therapy and #PPT19K.

Let's leave COVID-19 in the dust!

About the RI COVID-19 Response Fund:

The COVID-19 Response Fund was established in mid-March, 2020 by the Rhode Island Foundation and United Way of Rhode Island. Via a joint grants review committee, composed of team members from the Foundation and the United Way, the fund awards grants to support nonprofit organizations providing direct assistance to Rhode Islanders with financial need or demonstrable hardship resulting from COVID-19, and not otherwise covered by other resources. This includes organizations that supply basic needs to Rhode Islanders, including but not limited to food, relief from rent and other household expenses, and access to health care.
