Dr. Alison Akerley PT, DPT

Dr. Alison Akerley is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics, the spine, and sports-related injuries. After sustaining multiple sports injuries, Alison was inspired to give back to her community by helping others get back to the activities they love most. She is passionate about creating personalized plans to help her patients reach their movement goals. Throughout her career, she has gained certification in trigger point dry needling and has completed the Performance Physical Therapy Orthopedic Residency program.
In her free time, Alison enjoys exploring all the state parks in Rhode Island, going to farmer’s markets, and spending time outside. As a former soccer and softball player, she likes to stay active by hiking and skiing. You can usually catch her watching the Red Sox, Boston Bruins, and USWNT soccer games.
